Hello and welcome to my series of Weekly Capsule Wardrobe. It is a series of what I’m wearing every week in 2025.

Use my outfits as inspiration to shop your own closet and put together outfits or just peek into my 70ish year-old fashion style.

“Wearing of the Green”

- originally an Irish street ballad. Its author is unknown. It probably was composed in 1798 when the United Irishmen, whose official color was green, rebelled against English colonial rule. British authorities declared it illegal for anyone to wear a shamrock in their hat (in Irish it was known as a caubeen).

I’m half Irish and realize my only green sweater is already stored away. The surname Rogers is of Irish descent, with origins in the Gaelic name "O hOgra," meaning "descendant of the young lord". The O hOgra clan was originally located in County Clare, Ireland

I toured Ireland back in 2019 - even got to Nothern Ireland home of my ancestors. Went to a genealogy museum and learned a little about them. It was a fantastic trip …. and very green.

Since I didn’t wear any green, I adorned the photos of what I wore this week with a little green.

Butter yellow is one of the hot colors for spring. I just got the sweater from Doen. It’s a wool cotton mix and quite luxurious. I’m adding a few cardigans to my wardrobe. Love wearing it over my shoulders too.

Tuesday was chilly. We attended a concert at the Fox Theater… saw Lyle Lovett and his Acoustic Band. What a great evening. I wore my sparkly jeans. And my cactus necklace.
