International Women’s Day
This year IWD will be celebrated on Saturday March 8th. I have supported this organization for many years because I believe it does great things for gender equality. Here’s some information. My donation this year is going to CAMFED.
One item I decluttered
Are you familiar with the brand Sezane? It’s a French mid-priced clothing company that creates unique items. It somewhat has a cult following, and I admit I was influenced to try some of their pieces. One sweater I got that is still available on their website today is called their Leontine sweater.
It’s a navy and ecru 100% cotton striped sweater - very French. I purchased it about 5 years ago and perhaps wore it twice. I finally figured out that the sweater was just too heavy in weight for me and was just a little too structured. In other words, it wasn’t a cozy piece. But I really liked the idea of this sweater, so when I saw a similar one at Veronica Beard this past fall, I decided to give it a try and it was an instant success. Wore it a lot in the fall and just got it back out for spring.
I had my “body type” analyzed a few years back in the Kibbe Method, and I was classified as a Soft Natural. So, softness outranks structure. Now what do I do with all those blazers that I thought I would love? You’ll see the Veronica Beard sweater in my outfits this week.
